Introduction
ThriftnDrift helps you discover thrift stores, vintage markets and the finds other people post from them. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information
Your email address, display name, profile photo and bio when you create an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email associated with that account.
Location data
Your approximate location, only with your permission, to show nearby thrift stores and finds on the map.
Content you share
Photos, descriptions, prices and other content you post as finds, reviews or vendor and organizer applications.
Usage information
How you interact with the app, including the stores you view, the finds you like and the screens you visit, so we can keep the app working and improve it.
How we use your information
Provide the service
To operate the map, community feed, events calendar and business tools that make up ThriftnDrift.
Personalize your experience
To surface stores and finds relevant to your location and the categories you care about.
Communicate with you
To send account, security and product updates, and to respond when you contact us.

To understand how ThriftnDrift is used and fix what isn't working.
How your information is stored
ThriftnDrift runs on Google Firebase for authentication, data storage and hosting. Your data is stored on Firebase's infrastructure and protected by their security practices in addition to our own. We do not run our own servers holding your personal data.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:
With your consent
When you choose to share information, such as posting a find publicly or contacting a store you've claimed.
Legal requirements
When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of ThriftnDrift and our users.
Service providers
With infrastructure partners who help us run the app, such as Firebase for backend services and analytics.
Your rights and controls
Access your data
You can view your profile, favorites and posted finds at any time inside the app.
Update your information
You can edit your profile and account settings from the Profile tab.
Delete your account
You can permanently delete your account from Settings. This removes your profile, favorites, posted finds and associated photos from our systems.
Opt out
You can disable location access and notification permissions at any time from your device settings.
Children's privacy
ThriftnDrift is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Users between 13 and 18 need a parent or guardian's consent to use the app. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Data security
We use encryption in transit, secure authentication and access controls to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be communicated in the app.
